Spain's capital city Madrid is one of the fourth place in crowded cities of the world after London, Berlin and Paris. It is located in the Iberian peninsula.

When you go Madrid with a group or alone, first you need to find Puerto del Sol. Now you are at the center of Spain and you can take this place as a referance point then you can use highways which goes different directions; for short walks. End of the day you would have enough knowledge about the city. But if you don't have enough time and if you only want see popular places, you can easily find a city plan and visit places below.

We can start wıth Retiro park. Retiro park was build on 12 hectares . It was constructed as a part of Retiro place in 17. Century. Spain get so much damage at civil war. But plants, fountains, pools, monuments, statues and garden composition at the park are worth-seeing. Plaza Mayor should also be seen. It is is made up of 136 buildings organized around square courtyard. It was built in 1619 as a shopping center to ensure the kings prestigious status. The center still hosts various stores and workshops. Moreover, in the building which has an open court and 437 balconies you can watch traditonal games like bull fighting and also the royal family weddıngs that are arranged there. If you are interested in the plastic arts, you can choose the Prado Museum. At the begining, museum Approximately has 300 pieces of art, and today it has around 7000 pieces, its one of the most important art collection of Europe.

There are almost 4 types of meals eaten in Spain; Breakfast, lunch, evening and night eating. The most famous dish is tapas. Tapas is made of olive oil, ham, sausage, cheese, potatoes, fish and seasonal vegetable salads. The other favourite dish of spain is Paella and its ingredients are seasonal vegetables, enriched with venison and seafood that is made up of saffron rice. Specific to the spices and Mediterranean cuisine in Madrid seafood will surprise you.

Spain has the most glowing nightlife in Europe. Entertainments continue from Friday evening till monday morning. Bars and discos are the most preferred locations. There are many hotels and hostels in Madrid. But high room prices are problem for capital city like the ones in other countries. You can prefer choose to stay in a hotel far from the city center because you can find cheap price hotel for accommodation.
